The Irving Symphony League
The Irving Symphony League was organized in 1970 to provide support services to the ISO. The League organized and fostered the Symphony Belles which later evolved into the Ovation Program for volunteer service to the Orchestra by community members and high school students assisting with hosting duties and ticket handling at performances. The League also sponsors scholarship awards for seniors in high school who are planning to continue their post high school graduation education in a musical field of study.
2024 Annual Scholarship Recipient for the Performing Arts
Rhiannon Hayle – Graduate of Nimitz High School
Rhiannon was a proud member of the Nimitz High School Choir and a 2-year all-state choir member. She served as the choir secretary and was a student director of the JV Treble class. Much of her time was spent in the choir room finding new ways to grow as a musician with the help of her directors. She was active in the theater tech program also, as a lover of all fine arts. She’s thrilled to find out what college has in store for her.
The scholarship is endowed by the Irving Symphony League and is applied for and awarded through the Irving Schools Foundation.
“Thank you for helping me to reach my goals in vocal performance.” - Rhiannon
