Award Winning Programs
In addition to our formal six (6) - concert performance season held at Carpenter Performance Hall in the Irving Arts Center, the ISO is very generous with its community outreach. Currently, three (3) award winning programs extend classical music to people of all ages and backgrounds.
Ovation High School Volunteer Opportunities
Our local high school students have the opportunity to partake in symphonic concert performances through our volunteer program Ovation. These students serve as ushers throughout our formal concert season to earn community service hours credit as part of their graduation achievements.
Healing Notes Arts in Healthcare
The Irving Symphony Orchestra partners with Texas Health Resources for the "Arts in Healthcare" program. This provides weekly concerts each at a different venue within the hospital to uplift patients, family and friends, and hospital staff.
Concerts4Kids! Committed to Music Education
"Concerts4Kids" is a concert series that began in 1989, sponsored by the Irving Symphony Orchestra and The Stemmons Foundation. This concert series has benefited the greater Irving Community and its surrounding cities, with musical education for young students as a family-friendly entertainment opportunity for over 30 years.
